The Multicultural Fiddle/History of Canadian Fiddle Music Mary Kennedy, the fiddler with Irish Roots and Fiddle Earth has created an entertaining hour long show of fiddle music.
Fiddle music has always been a part of Canada's history. Mary's show allows listeners to time travel through Canada's fiddle history with Scottish, Irish, east Coast, French, Ottawa Valley and Metis fiddle tunes with such favourites as Maple Sugar and St. Anne's Reel. The show begins with the fiddle arriving in Canada in the 1680's with Jesuit Priests in Quebec and concludes with Don Messer and the Islander's and how fiddle music has developed to date.
The audience experiences the jigs, reels and hornpipes played in homes and at dances from long ago.

The repertoire includes many classics like Shall We Gather at the River, Old Time Religion, Country Roads and Ring of Fire. We get the audience clapping and singing along, or quietly reflecting.
